Client is in need of an experienced payroll clerk, to handle multiple platforms and processing of multiple payrolls in the Montgomery office. This is strictly a payroll position; however, fundamental bookkeeping knowledge would be beneficial:

Payroll Experience (at least 3-5 years):
•Payroll processing: Includes setup of employees, direct deposit, earnings codes and deduction codes, versatility in multiple pl…atforms, ability to quickly learn new systems
•Solid understanding of payroll laws, rules & regulations
•Ability to recommend best practices and can identify process efficiencies
•Payroll tax returns (federal, state, and local where applicable) including applying for new employer accounts when necessary
•Annual W-2 reporting, thorough understanding of special compensation items and W-2 reporting requirements

Client Handling Skills:
•Proven ability to work well with both internal and external clients
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Uses good judgment and demonstrates sense of urgency as it pertains to payroll and deadlines
•Demonstrates high level of professionalism
