PRODUCTION SCHEDULER / ANALYST
MONTGOMERY, AL

$55,000 – $60,000 + BENEFITS PACKAGE!

JOB SUMMARY:

This position reports to the Production Control Manager and is responsible for scheduling production for the manufacturing facility. A documentation specialist for providing MRP control, inventory and traceability accuracy, and production reporting activities. The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of MRP, Microsoft Excel and manufacturing principles and be able to analyze data to improve the business. Requires Strong Knowledge in Material/Process Flow.

PRINCIPLE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering Technology, Statistical Analysis, Finance, OR related field is required OR equivalent of 2-4 years’ experience in Production Scheduling.
2. Application-level Material Requirements Planning (MRP) ability; construction and utilization of bills of material; inventory control, production planning and scheduling experience in manufacturing.
3. Knowledge in Inventory Scanning Systems.
4. Computer literacy & strong Microsoft Excel skills
5. Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
6. Self-motivated and detail oriented
7. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Utilizes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) application to plan and schedule production to maintain finished goods inventory.
2. Develops weekly production schedule based on Customer Orders and MRP, adjusts as needed based on customer demand. Releases Work Orders per the schedule based on dates to be produced.
3. Issues raw materials with lot traceability and reports production. Reviews and Maintain Data Integrity of data.
4. Reports production paperwork errors to management and participates in solutions to prevent or control errors.
5. Updates & Maintains Weekly/Monthly Production & Performance Reports.
6. Maintain data integrity (troubleshoot and resolve errors) of MRP system
7. Distributes production forms daily (Pick Lists & Work Orders), collects, and stores production records in accordance with SQF System requirements.
8. Works closely with Production Control Manager & Senior Buyer to ensure the most efficient schedule to eliminate downtime or additional costs in the production process.
9. Periodically required for scheduled improvement activities.
10. Frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Must occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
11. Assists in execution of physical inventories.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
1. A high degree of emphasis is placed on inventory and traceability accuracy.
2. High food-safety and food-quality standards are emphasized and maintained; supports the operating philosophy of the Company and SQF. 3. Daily planning processes indicate strong organizational skills and production entry responsibilities are completed efficiently
4. Material shortages or inventory discrepancies are reported timely to the Manager, assists in root cause analysis, assists team in effective solutions and preventative controls.
5. All production paperwork, records, and reports are completed accurately and timely.
6. Ensures traceability of all inventory is maintained with accuracy.
7. Actively engaged; takes initiative to overcome obstacles/provide value to the business, finds creative solutions/challenges the status quo. 8. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and develops systems to support operational excellence goals.
